Thank you for writing this thoughtful post on the U.S. Military bombing of Hiroshima and then Nagasaki, Japan. When I was old enough to read about this abominable act, I felt horrified. I don't know enough about what the people in those cities suffered. Gratiful to you for more knowledge.

I was born and grew up in New Zealand, but have lived in Japan for 30 years. Japan is not a sovereign country. It is a vassal state of the outlaw US empire. But that empire is crumbling and soon the citizens of Japan will have to take back their sovereignty, for the first time in 80 years. I am sure it will usher in a chaotic period. I’m hopeful that we can avoid another bout of nationalism, xenophobia and militarism.
