Thank you Lisa for this blog post and including Lavrov's entire speech. Not many will take the time to read it, but it is important to get it out there. Hopefully, many of your readers will read it. Lavrov has no peers on the world stage. He is the consummate, seasoned, brilliant, professional diplomat. I have been following him closely, as well as President Putin. The USA and the EU are void of anyone with half a brain and a tiny bit of diplomacy. It's shameful to compare. Unfortunately, Lavrov and Putin have no one in the USA with whom they can talk.

It seems that we are 'chained' to the US although it is obviously this should not be the case.
I am here in France and NO we do not want war...............the first people who will be killed are the Europeans NOT US people. WE have a History which the US people love and come to see. When it is gone.................
The US is dead. BRICS is coming and the dollar will be defunct.

There aren't any adults, let alone diplomats, in the West for the Russians to engage with. This will probably end very badly!
